Briar; our first Pointer! The number one
reason for our love of the breed! Briar came
to us from Black Alder Pointers in June of
1999. Whether at a show, in the field,
visiting children at school or lounging by the
fire at home, Briar is a true companion-
faithful, loyal, and always devoted.
Our first female pointer. She's from
bred by Sally Barton and
Patricia H.Haines. She is a fun loving dog full
of enthusiasm and drive. At 6 months of age
she debuted in her first show and took BOW
with a 3 point major. Bena loves to hunt and it
did not take her long to get her Junior Hunting
Title. She is also a Certified Therapy Dog. Best
of all she is an awesome mom to Madison.
Melody arrived at Shadybrook Acres at a
mature 20 years of age. She is Polish/Crabbet
Arabian; Bask Granddaughter. Melody is now
retired from her successful show career in
Country English Pleasure and Dressage. She
bonded immediately with our Pointers. Melody
often tags along on our woodland hikes. She
wanders freely at Shadybrook Acres and
everyone here knows she is queen! Melody
cares deeply for our goats and is a great
"mom" to them.
Melody demonstrates at a Halter Clinic for the Phoenix Arabian Horse Club in Parksville, NY.
